Latest Bangalore News from India

Map of BangaloreSilicon Valley of India - Located in the Deccan plateau, Bangalore is aggressively growing metropolis of India and is the IT capital of India. It is also referred to as The Garden City, although so much of the city’s greenery gave way to the emerging concrete forests. It’s a city that boasts of a large number of international visitors; one for the silk and sericulture manufacturing units, the other software exports. With a year-round salubrious climate, Bengaluru is also the center of learning and research. IISc and IIM are the two institutes that groom researchers and global managers. The tintinnabulation can be heard from Bangalore’s many temples and churches.

Bangalore is a awesome place having such a nice weather all times.........people in bangalore have a simplicity such that u ll probably find in any other place of india except autorikshaws who only want to make money ...........traffic rules are really good.......cosmopolitan city .......so actually we get to know the different languages..........basically being north i feel the cultural values in south people are much better..........thats it

An amazing city. People here are so warm. Safety is an issue everywhere these days. So don't pick on a city because you got mothered by some individuals.

Love the place, love the people, love the food and love the weather. My best of friends are from Bangalore.

Bangalore,...I've lived in the UK, South East Asia, and even some parts of India,....but YOU make me feel alive!!!

Amazing is what I'd call Bangalore.

An amazing

the people who have problems with b'lore like this guy/girl --
Listen ya fellas.. Bangalore has a good weather.. geographically all good. Politically all **cked. Most people suck too. Right from the time you land there, The cheating starts.. from Rickshaw fellows to vendors.. Now if you guys are working for some IT company, you probably wont understand all these things. You have to be in the system to understand the system.. I have been with politicians and government employees.. No ethics at all. I agree in other states too the officials eat money.. but at least they do the work..

On other note. Security is bad.. Just shutting down bars earlier doesn't mean they have secured the place.. The police themselves are sick.. They don't know hot to talk to ladies, kids.. It's a good place to stay if you were already born in Bangalore because you are immune to the shit and you will never realize the drawbacks all that much.
Overall if you are planning to settle in Bangalore.. then Stop there! Think many times! many many times! It's pretty Shitty you know! I am talking in my senses and sorry for the words I used but without it, i wouldn't be really able to make you guys understand.

People are sweeter. but when you have money everyone is sweet. Just try not giving them any money when they want, you shall see the difference.

KEYWORDS - CORRUPT / DISGUSTING / UNETHICAL/ IMPOLITE/ MANIPULATIVE / AMBIGUOUS / DANGEROUS / SAFETY ISSUES / IDLI

can like seriously leave that place and go!! i think bangalore is ***king awesome. the people are better . their way of thinking is better compared to other north indian cities . trust me . i've faced all that north indian crap . the weather is awesome . the food is definately better . bangalore is like improving every day . and to the guy/girl who left that comment is certainly a north indian because every south indian loves idlis and if you have problems DONT EAT THEM! i being a north indian find south india better because i've lived there . and people in south india are definately better and good !

so i would only say BANGALORE IS THE BEST PLACE EVER . YOU TALK ABOUT DELHI, DELHI IS NOT THAT GOOD . THE WEATHER SUCKS , THE TRAFFIC SUCKS , THE PEOPLE DO **FEW** AND THE LIST IS LONG .
BANGALORE IS SIMPLY AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL :) AND IF YOU THINK BANGALORE IS DISGUSTING ** OH MY GOD** TRY GOING TO ANYOTHER NORTH INDIAN CITY THE FIRST THING YOU'LL SEE IS KIDS GOING TO 3RD STANDARD ABUSE! TRY IT!

Having lived in Bangalore for about seven years, now in Delhi for last three years.Yes, traffic is an issue but it is true of all big cities,Bangalore is a most cosmoplitan city.At least six languages are widely understood there. The weather is quite good even now. I feel it is a city with a heart.I simply love Bangalore
-- P.Narayanan on December 8, 2010 at 02:07 ET
Bangalore has all the drawbacks of a typical indian city. But if you compare Bangalore with any other city of India, you will feel that it is slightly better than most of them.

I know the Government agencies are corrupt and unprofessional to give bangaloreans a livable city and provide good service and maintenance to our physical envoirment,We all agree. So my Question?
Would the public of Bangalore pay a nominal amount per year to a private company ,group of professionals and determined set of individuals with international experience, to clean and beautify bangalore on an epic level to bring back the bangalore to a livable, enjoyable city again

Bangalore has great highs and lows. It does keep changing too. I first came in January 2001. I returned in 06/07. I am moving back again. Every time I move away from the city, I miss it even more than the last. Some things you simply cannot measure. They can only be experienced.

bangalore was wonderful in 1962,1972,1982,1992,even 2002 it was wonderful...there was only two seasons, rainy and winter summer no way.. sweater not necessary now save bangalore... foloow lane discipline, keep left boards please come back, mass rapid transport, stop giving license to children...dont allow two wheelers in side the city like mumbai...nariman point only four wheelers... good night

-- Aditi on May 4, 2010 at 03:39 ET
Bangalore is indeed one of the best cities in the world becoz this is one of the few cities of the world which makes people fall in love at once! I agree it has changed a lot, especially the traffic, but hopefully things should improve after the metro.
Long Live Bangalore!

-- Kavitha on April 21, 2010 at 07:36 ET
Bangalore has lost its cool climate because of large scale availability of vechicles on the roads and cutting of many trees on the roads. It is a polluted city.
-- T.S.PRAKASAM on April 16, 2010 at 06:45 ET
Hi, a great place where people are sweet and have great level of acceptance.Only people who have spent time from their School days to their days of working now will understand what kind of changes have taken place in this city. We should appreciate the efforts of our local authorities like BBMP,Police as well as BESCOM where they have scaled up there services to ensure minimum intruptions, crime as well as the traffic.(this city was never ment for such a huge population) If every address has more than 1 four wheeler on an average and you see only 1 person traveling and contributing to the chaos. We feel people who plan to settle here from any other part of the world or settled here in Bangalore should understand there responsibilites towards the city which has influenced there decision to make this there Home Town. Bangalore is a great place even today and is the only city which expects and enjoys growth for everyone.

Hey Bangalore is one of the places on this earth which will make people fall in love and never leave this place. This city is providing opportunities and shulter to so many from different walks of life. If we want to retain the charm of this city everyone of leaving here has to contribute as it is allways give and take. Currently Bangalore is giving people with opportunities and a great climate but people never think they have to give back hence its loosing its charm.

Greatest city of India. 24/7 and 365 days in the year, a great whether to have. Not very hot summer, no very hot winters, climate always at 28*C, almost 12 hours day time, plus there is every other thing you find in a highly developed city. Offcourse, traffic is a problem, but the metro train coming in one year this will greately reduce all trafic sorrows of bangalore.
Great to be in such a city!.
-- Prashanth on March 2, 2010 at 05:12 ET
