Finding cheap, low-cost flights and airfare to India or other countries in Asia can be a time-consuming task to say the least. With so many airlines, so many different routes and associated prices, it can be downright overwhelming in choosing which way to go when flying to India.
But there are some tips and tricks you can use to help you out when shopping online. First don’t stick with just one website like Orbitz for example. Try several like Expedia and Travelocity. Once you find a good a route you like, go to the airlines individual website and see if you can get a better deal on the same route, or maybe it’s vice-versa.
Travel websites like Orbitz may not offer the lowest prices, but they are a great starting point and offer an easy place to compare prices and routes from different airlines.
Also note when and to where you are flying. Obviously cities like Mumbai, New Delhi and Chennai will have far more options than Hyderabad which has a smaller airport. The busy travel season in India is in the November-January winter months. But with the Indians gaining more and more wealth than ever, they now have money with which to travel so seats will continue to be at a premium.
So the sooner you book the better and you’ll get more of a discount on the price. The later you begin your search the more you will have to open the wallet. And don’t forget if you don’t have and Indian Passport you will likely need an Indian Visa. If you live here in the U.S. please allow for at least two months lead time before your trip to get the visa processed.
