Hulk Hogan sues ex-wife Linda Bollea for defamation

Washington, Dec 10: Hulk Hogan has reportedly filed a defamation lawsuit against his former wife Linda Bollea for writing his autobiography in an attempt to revive her career.

The 58-year-old retired professional wrestler, whose real name is Terry Bollea, claims that Bollea wrote ‘Wrestling the Hulk - My Life Against the Ropes’ in an attempt to revive her career, which the civil suit says plummeted after the couple got divorced in 2009.

In the book, which was published earlier this year by HarperCollins, she alleges that her ex-husband performed acts of physical abuse on her including choking and dragging her by the hair and clothes.

During a TV interview earlier this year, Bollea said that she thought Hogan “could kill her”.

“It scared me that he might just snap, not realise what he’s doing. He is just so strong,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“I thought he could kill me. He had his hands around my neck one time on the bed, and he started squeezing my throat. He just went into this trance, and I was looking at him and saying, ‘Terry, stop, stop. I can’t breathe,” she added.
