Rumours of Jackie Chan's death sends Twitter into overdrive
From ANIMelbourne, Aug 18: Rumours of Jackie Chan's death sent Twitter into overdrive with questions from frenzied fans, until the actor's Facebook page debunked the story.
The rumours started after a fake Facebook memorial page titled "Jackie Chan R.I.P 08/17/2011", now called "Jackie Chan R.I.P" appeared.
"Jackie is alive and well and working hard on his next movie!" News.com.au quoted the actor's Facebook message as saying.
"Don't believe the latest death rumours," it stated.
This is the second time Jackie Chan has been the target of a bogus story, with a tweet kicking off a storm of speculation after it was reported the 57-year-old actor had suffered a heart attack, earlier this year.
