Nine out of ten Britons use their mobile phones for shopping
London, July 8: A survey has found that more than nine out of ten Britons use their mobile phones to either research or make new purchases.
The study by the Mobile Entertainment Forum showed that 91 percent of people in the UK had engaged in "m-commerce", and it was more than any other country in the world, the Telegraph reported.
It also found that one in four had used their mobile to buy something on an auction site such as eBay, while 44 percent had purchased from within an app, and 58 percent via a website accessed on their mobile phone.
Four out of five people use the web on their mobiles every day, and for a third of people mobile web access means they are using their PCs to go online less than they were 18 months ago.
