Three killed in US drone attack in Pak's North Waziristan district

Islamabad, May 14: At least three militants have been killed in a US drone attack in Kharkamar in Pakistan's district.

It followed the Taliban attack on the paramilitary police training centre, which had resulted in 80 deaths.

It was the fourth drone strike since Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden's death and coincided with a joint sitting in Pakistan Parliament where Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Kayani and ISI chief, Ahmad Shuja Pasha were giving a briefing on the Abbottabad operation.

Following the earlier attack, Taliban spokesperson had claimed responsibility saying that it was the beginning of its revenge for Bin Laden's death.

Pakistan officials point out that 30,000 people have been killed in Pakistan since the September 9, 2001 attacks on the U.S.
