DiCaprio says he had more luck with girls before 'Titanic'

New York, July 22: American actor Leonardo DiCaprio has said that he had better luck with meeting the ladies before he shot to fame with the 1997 romantic 'Titanic'.

"I had better success meeting girls before 'Titanic'," DiCaprio told The Rolling Stone.

"My interactions with them didn't have all the stigma behind it, not to mention there wasn't a perception of her talking to me for only one reason," he said.

But after he became successful with 'Titanic,' it was a troubled time for him with getting dates.

"It was like there was a separate entity out there. Not to use a James Cameron reference, but it was like being in a little bit of an avatar," The New York Daily News quoted DiCaprio as saying.
