From ANISrinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Feb 7: The ongoing shutdown in Srinagar entered its seventh day today, following the death of Wanik Farooq, a resident of Rainawari last Sunday.
Farooq was killed by a teargas shell in Rajouri Kadal last Sunday during a clash between the police and a mob.

All shops, business establishments and government offices remained closed, and the traffic stayed off the roads.
But as the people of the valley were about to begin their normal life, in yet another incident, a teenager was killed allegedly by the Border Security Force (BSF) troops.
Sixteen-year-old Zahid Farooq was shot in the chest, allegedly by security forces near the office of Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Kralsangri-Brain Nishat, on Friday.
