Sarah Palin's memoir ruling bestseller lists
From ANINew York, Nov 23: Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's memoir 'Going Rogue' is selling like hot cakes.
'Going Rogue' has been the No. 1 seller on Amazon.com.
It is ruling the best-seller lists just a week after it hit the shelves. Even in liberal-leaning New York, some bookstores are running out of stock.
"We overstocked it because we knew it would sell really well. We only have one case left," the New York Post quoted Bina Valeavano, co-owner of Bookmark Shoppe in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn as saying.
The small independent store decided to gamble on Palin's book because "people either love her or they love to hate her. We knew it would move," co-owner Christine Freglette added.
Mary-Ann Kearns, 46, owner of Caffi Cafi coffee shop in Bay Ridge Palin's has sold nearly 300,000 copies nationally on its first day - nearly toppling the record set in 2004 by Bill Clinton's memoir "My Life," which started at 400,000 copies.
However, Hillary Rodham Clinton's memoir, "Living History," sold 200,000 copies on its first day.
