Huge cache of ammunition seized in Patna
From ANIPatna, Nov 9: Patna police recovered a huge cache of ammunition on Sunday from a house following a raid after a vehicle carrying explosives was intercepted in Kankarbagh locality of the city.
Police suspect a Maoist connection.
Seized material included 500 kilograms of explosives and around 5,000 cartridges.
"We have recovered around 500 kilogram of explosives, 5,000 cartridges, parts of 10 carbine guns.
Explosive in the liquid form includes nitric acid and sulphuric acid. We have also sized different kinds of technical instruments and detonators," said Vinit Vinayak, senior superintendent of police, Patna.
Vinayak said the house was rented out to person who was yet to be arrested.
