Koda discharged from hospital, to be questioned by IT officials
From ANIRanchi (Jharkhand), Nov 8: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, who was discharged from a city hospital here today, will be questioned by the Income Tax (IT) Department at his Ranchi residence in connection with a Rs 2,000 crore hawala transaction case.
IT sources said officials from the department will question Koda at his residence.
Sources said the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been informed about the IT department's move to question Koda and they would be closely following it.oda was discharged from Apollo Hospital this morning after getting himself admitted there on November 3 with a stomach ache.
Sources in the ED, however, refused to say whether Koda would be arrested.Koda would be questioned about the documents that have been recovered during the searches," IT sources said.
The department has also asked its officers in Ranchi to bring a list of the seizures and records of statements of his associates, which will be put across to Koda during the questioning.
