Frenzied fans cheer for Sachin Tendulkar to reach 17,000 runs at Hyderabad
From ANILondon, Nov 5(ANI): Thousands of enthusiastic cricket fans were eagerly cheering for the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who is just seven runs away from completing 17,000 runs, to cross the milestone in the fifth ODI at Hyderabad on Thursday.
The fifth game of the seven match series is being held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
"Today it is fantastic atmosphere, it is so good. Today India is playing against Australia and we cheer for India. And today Sachin (Tendulkar) is going to score 17,000 runs, and it is great day in the history of Hyderabad cricket. We are going to see the match, we will cheer for Sachin and cheer India," said Avinash, a cricket fan.
Tendulkar is the highest run scorer in both Test matches and ODIs, and also the batsman with the most centuries in either form of the game.
The first player to score fifty centuries in all international cricket combined, he now has more than eighty international centuries.
The seven-match series is still very much opened with 2-2, and some fans said that at the moment they cannot predict the winner of the tournament.
"We cannot comment that India would only win because the series is levelled, two matches have been won by both the teams. Thus we cannot be very sure that India will win though India has good players, good batsman and bowlers, but we cannot predict what exactly will happen," said Bhagirath Paari, another cricket fan.
