Sarah Palin 2009 calendar most wanted over the festive period
From ANILondon, January 1: The roller-coaster year 2008 might have seen Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's U.S. vice-presidential bid failing and her unwed teen daughter giving birth to a son, but she has continued her quest for world domination with a 2009 calendar that has become a surprising bestseller. The Alaska Governor's 2009 calendar, whose cover features Palin with a gun, is said to have emerged as the most popular office product on Amazon.com over the festive period.
The calendar contains 50 candid photos of Palin, 44, hunting and hanging out with her family, reports the Telegraph.
It has been created by Judy Patrick, the former deputy mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, where Palin was mayor from 1996 to 2002.
The calendar is said to be selling at 11 pounds.
Other perennial favourites include the legendary Pirelli calendar, shot by Peter Beard, who is famous for his wonderful African wildlife shots and his portraits of beautiful barely-clad women.
