Nicole Kidman, Australia miss out on Screen Actors Guild nominations
From ANIMelbourne, Dec 19: Aussie actress Nicole Kidman and her new movie 'Australia' have missed out on being nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The nominations were announced in West Hollywood on December 19, with the Guild being seen as the paving stone to Academy Awards, reports News.com.au.
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, Australia failed to secure even one nomination, with Kidman, Hugh Jackman and 13-year-old acting newcomer, Brandon Walters, not being considered for any award.
The SAG Awards are decided by 120,000 actors, and the nomination ceremony confirms the favourites for the Oscar acting race.
The winners for the SAG Award will be announced at LA's Shrine Auditorium on January 25.
