Macca goes on diet to impress Nancy Shevell

London, Nov 28: Sir Paul McCartney is keeping a check on his weight ahead of the festive season in a bid to impress new love Nancy Shevell.

The former 'Beatle' avoided snacking while attending a Christmas party hosted by his fashion designer daughter Stella at her store in London's Bond Street.

"I'm trying to lay off all the chocs. I've gotta stay in shape for the other half," the Daily Express quoted McCartney, as saying.

Macca took on the role of consummate pater-familias of his brood, looking out for his girls amid the welter of guests.

"For some stupid reason I feel I have to keep checking where they are all the time to make sure everything's going ok," McCartney said.
