Brit artist makes 'porn portraits' of George Bush and Paris Hilton!
From ANILondon, Sept 26: A British artist has made collage portraits of US President George W. Bush and celebrity Paris Hilton - using scrapes from porn magazines.
Jonathan Yeo is exhibiting the portraits at the London-based Lazarides Gallery.
Yeo has already painted portraits of Tony Blair, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rupert Murdoch and Prince Philip.
Lazarides Gallery spokeswoman Elizabeth Barrett said that artist Damien Hirst bought Yeo's portrait of Hilton at an undisclosed price, reports Telegraph.
The idea of collages came after Yeo was turned down to do a portrait of the US President in 2004.
He made the portrait, anyway, but in the form of a collage using pieces of pornographic magazines.
According to Barrett, posters of the Hilton portrait, titled "Paris, 2008," will be sold for 20 dollars each at the gallery.
She also said that Yeo was offering Hilton proceeds from the sale of the posters as a "lighthearted" gesture, as the hotel heiress has said she didn't receive any money from the saucy 2004 sex video that starred her and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon.
Meanwhile, Hilton's manager could not be contacted for comment.
The Lazarides Gallery will operate the temporary gallery, called a pop-up, at a former restaurant supply store on the Bowery in Manhattan.
The two-week show, "The Outsiders," opened to the public on Sep 26.
