Nicolas Cage's 'Bangkok Dangerous' tops weekend box office
From ANIWashington, Sept 8: Nicolas Cage's 'Bangkok Dangerous' has topped the weekend box office, with an earning of 7.8 million dollars.
It narrowly edged out DreamWorks/Paramount's 'Tropic Thunder,' which made an estimated 7.5 million dollars, according to studio estimates, reports E! Online.
Campus comedy 'The House Bunny' came third after earning 5.9 million dollars while 'The Dark Knight' landed the fourth spot, raking in 5.7 million dollars.
Rounding off the top five was 'Traitor', with an earning of 4.7 million dollars.
The top-grossing weekend films are:
1. Bangkok Dangerous, $7.8 million
2. Tropic Thunder, $7.5 million
3. The House Bunny, $5.9 million
4. The Dark Knight, $5.7 million
5. Traitor, $4.7 million
6. Babylon A.D., $4 million
7. Death Race, $3.6 million
