One in four Brit kids does not recognize Winston Churchill
From ANILondon, Sept 8: He might have led Britain to victory in the Second World War, but for kids, Prime Minister Winston Churchill is the name of a nodding dog in insurance adverts, a new survey reveals.
Even just 79 per cent were able to identify present PM Gordon Brown from a photo, compared to 94 per cent for the 'I'm A Celeb hosts'.
While, 93 per cent of the eight to 11-year-olds polled recognised football hero David Beckham and 85 per cent picked out pop star Britney Spears, nearly 41 per cent of failed to recognize Tory leader David Cameron, reports The Sun.
Nearly ten per cent of the youngsters confused a picture of US presidential hopeful Barack Obama with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
