Nepal bureaucrats have a new code to follow
From ANIKathmandu, Sep 8: Nepal's Prime Minister Prachanda has warned that government employees failing to fulfill their duties in the changed context will face stern action.
Addressing the civil servants during a tea party organised on the fifth Civil Service Day here on Sunday, Prachanda said that civil servants who work honestly would surely be rewarded while no wrongdoer would be spared.
Prachanda urged government employees to play an important role in making people feel that things were going to change. The government, according to him was committed to correct the wrongs of the past.
He added that the nation's future would be determined by the current government's success or failure. Therefore the civil servants had a huge responsibility to implement the government's policies and programmes effectively.
Prachanda also rewarded some civil servants with cash and letter of appreciation for their good performance, Nepalnews reported.
