Koirala urges for proper tone in public remarks

Kathmandu, May 14: Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Wednesday called for more restraint to be shown in both words and deeds stating the country is going through a sensitive stage in the transitional process.


Hinting at the recent remarks made by the leaders of different political parties, PM Koirala urged everyone to think before speaking considering the situation.

The peace process will be affected if any erroneous step was taken due to the current state of the country, he added.

The PM said that peace, democracy and sovereignty would find a way out if the stakeholders could move ahead with the vision of coordination.

The peace process will take the constitution drafting process along, PM Koirala said at the inauguration of United Statistics and Training Centre building being built with the assistance of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) at Singha Durbar premises today.

He said that the training center is an important gift from the Korean government for Nepal, which is at the threshold of new era.

Koirala hoped that Nepal could enter into a modern era if it could maintain contacts with the world through the centre.

The building which is going to be established as the backbone of electronics government and brain of information technology is targeted to be completed within six months.

According to Nepal Academy of Science and Technology, the training centre being constructed with the assistance of Rs 330 million from KOICA will be recording and storing all the important documents of the state in an electronics system.
