| kanpur is has been detached from the growing indian economy...while most
other cities in india are growing our once great kanpur is deteriorating.i
mean the state government has just left kanpur on its own,i shudnt say on
its own becoz if it ws on its own then it would have been growing
significantly but the kanpur gives max tax to the state government than any
other city in up bt even a small fraction is nt spent here instead lucknow
sucks up all its money and in 10 years it will becum a significant metro in
india as tcs ,infosys and wipro are already establishing their offices
there.i fear dat we might nt even call knp an industrial city in cuming
10yrs as our city industrialists would shift to greener pastures.i dont
blame them bcoz their patience is also running out seeing the government's
attitude as of now the economy of knp has already taken a backseat this
decade as surat , pune and ahemadabad have already taken over leaving knp
at 10th.bt if this attitude continues then if would go even out f top 20 by
the end f d just started decade.as most f the upperclass and highly
educated people f knp are moving out f the city becoz here v dont have jobs
for them like for an iit or an iim graduate....so im just praying dat
kanpur from being on the verge of a dying city comes back to life against
all odds becoz only our kanpurites can make this happen against the dead
motherfucking lucknow biased government f ours.the only magical solution
would be that state of up divides and kanpur is made the capital of the new
state den im sure kanpur would easily becum one of the best cities in india
as i have seen the how dehradun ,ranchi etc have developed after becoming

| I am living abroad, but badly miss Kanpur where I was born, brought up and
educated. I miss my home in Vishnupuri, shopping at Naveen Market, Mall
Road, Meston Road, great food at various restaurants. Morning walks at
Company Bagh & Agri Univ campus and watching movies in Rave3, Heer Palace.
I do not think Kanpur is that bad as people paint it. I have lived in
Bangalore and Chennai and they are not too different. And heard that Delhi
got sunk in the rains this year. So why to single out Kanpur. However, I
believe that the politicians and bureaucrats are responsible for destroying
the image of the city. For them UP means the state capital Lucknow.They

| I left kanpur 18 years back. Now i am not a resident of kanpur. Now i go
there as a visitor. City is full of chaos and anarchy. But that's a system
failure. Being a kanpuria it our duty to improve the status. There are many
more towns much better than kanpur, provided you can throw the money. Meri
feeling ek dulhan wahin hai jo ek dulhan ki apne mayke ke liye hoti hogi.

backwards in todays world there is no going backwards we must be more
productive and more resourceful and it all starts with basic

etc.But one thing is in the path of success of Kanpur i.e. the
Politicians.If they want then Kanpur will be in the top.one thing i want to

Educational aspects: 1) IIT - i guess no 1 or 2 in all IIT's in INDIA. 2) HBTI - no 1 engg college in UP. 3) GSVM - no 2 medical college in UP. 4) CSA - no 2 in agriculture university after Pant nagar and has recognision in Asea. 5) NSI - i guess only sugar institute in India. 6) Leather institute - The best insitute in leather technology atleast in india. 7) BEST Coachings - kanpur has best coachings and teachers for civil services, engineering, medical and all competetive exams. | I was brought up and educated in Kanpur,, right now i am working abroad.
tell you frankly guys, i love my Kanpur more than myself. Kanpur is a world
renowned place. i admit it is not what is used to be before. the Load
shedding, closure of industrial units, pollution, sheer politics,
unemployment has added to the woes. But still, Kanpur is kanpur and oine
cannot deny its presence as a major industrial hub of India and its
contrubution towards education. its the new generation which can again do a
good of sorts to improve the living conditions of kanpur. first we have to
develop a character of the city and stop corruption then only it will be a

biotech from D.G College in Civil Lines...ryt nw m in BANGALORE...completed
my MASTERS in BIOTECH n nw working....bangalore is a beutiful city but
beleive me KANPUR IS THE BEST CITY...i mis my city,my family,friends,places
in city where we spend precious moments with family,friends ,etc....I love
to be a kanpurite....i do beleive that the city is full of corruption n
pollution but its us jinhone city ko aisa banaya hai....Kanpur is just a
name gven to place....we all make it a city..as everyone of us is
responsible for any gud or bad happening to the city.....nobody can just

| Its unfortunate for a place like Kanpur that it is located in UP. The state
with the worst and most corrupt politicians in the country. People are great, friendly and loving here. I spent my 23 years in Kanpur and from last 4 years i m living overseas. I miss the place everyday, I miss my loving friends, the lanes, the moments I spent. No doubt it had a golden history during British rule and for few decades after that but now its getting worst there. Specially the electricity problem which is ruining everything there. I would urge people to be more responsible and aware to keep their city clean and teach others. However we cant change the fu.. politicians and government employees who administer the city. They all new to be wiped out. Wish Kanpur will be great always and things will improve. | Hi, Kanpur is very nice no doubt in any matter but please beware from the doctor's as my personal experience from my mom, please and please go to lucknow or delhi or better mumbai but kanpur doctor's are just looting and making fool which we can'i imagine. there, I have been there (many times) and I have some fun there. But does that mean I cannot tell the truth? I have studied the history of Kanpur and INDIA all my life. Yes it was once the Manchester of India - only becasue the British used its resources and climate to cultivate the cotton industry and ruthlessly exploited its already established cottage industries. about Kanpur...I would like to bring following facts int o your notice:: 1-It was called as Manchester of India before independence. 2-It is the largest producer of Leather goods. 3-It is an Industrial city.. 4- Manu Freedom fighter were from this exotic place like NANa saheb e.t.c 5-It also played an important part in the first war of independence(1987). WE have IIT( one of the best technology institute in the whole world) <HBTI<GSVM and many more... now malls are being constructed... Station is being renovated.. WE have the AIRFORCE STATION>> What else you want..KANPur is being criticised beacause of the stupid people like ROHIT MISHRA..Chandan Kashyap and Vipin Sharma... Educational aspects: 1) IIT - i guess no 1 or 2 in all IIT's in INDIA. 2) HBTI - no 1 engg college in UP. 3) GSVM - no 2 medical college in UP. 4) CSA - no 2 in agriculture university after Pant nagar and has recognision in Asea. 5) NSI - i guess only sugar institute in India. 6) Leather institute - The best insitute in leather technology atleast in india. 7) BEST Coachings - kanpur has best coachings and teachers for civil services, engineering, medical and all competetive exams. Industrial aspects: Once kanpur was told MANCHESTER of Asea because of its industries like -- 1) LAL IMLI - has been best woolen mill 2) JK Joot mill - has been best joot mill 3) ELGIN mill 4) MUER mill 5) VICTORIA mill 6) ATHERTON mill and many others Mythological and Historical aspects: Kanpur has great Mythological and Historical aspects like -- 1) SARSHAIYA GHAT 2) DHRUV TILLA 3) BITHOOR 4) JK TEMPLE and many other... apart from this kanpur has biggest ZOO after calcutta in India....... this is my knowledge.... if I forgot to write something ..... please let me know...
