ONE PVT. UNIVERSITY RECENTLY CONDUCTED A TEST FOR RESEARCH SCHOLAR POST LEADING TO PH.D. THE TEST WAS HELD ON 24TH JANUARY BUT CANDIDATES WERE NOT INFORMED ABOUT THE DECLARATION OF THE RESULT.THE IST TWO TOPPER WERE IGNORED AND WERE NOT INFORMED . WHEN ONE OF THEM ASKED TELEPHONICALLY , UNIV AUTHORITY LINGER ON AND ASKED A CANDIDATE THAT HE CAN ENQUIRE ABOUT HIS FATE AFTER 14 DAYS TIME. WHAT TO DO WITH SUCH TYPE OF PVT. UNIVERSITIES LOCATED IN THE LAND OF GODS ? THE SAID STUDENT HAS SPENT THREE DAYS TRANSPORT FARE/TAXI FARE AND STILL DOUTFULL AS SOME ONE HAS TOLD HIM THAT THE RANK 3 CANDIDATE HAS BEEN FAVOURED BY UNIV. AUTHORITIES BECAUSE OF RACIAL FAVOUR.

Should we continue to celebrate all our festivals on wrong days?

No, says a New Panchang

Do you know that Hindus are celebrating all their festivals now on wrong dates? Do you know that when you are said to be born under a particular star (nakshatra), actually your birth star may be some thing else and not the one you are supposed to have been born under? Do you realise that due to such a discrepancy in taking correct star (nakshatra), we are unable to select a proper muhurth for any purpose?

Yes, for well over 1400 years we failed to correct our calendars (panchangas), for what is known as the precession of the equinoxes. Our panchangakars take the length of the year to be 365.258756 days as given in the Surya siddhanta of about 500 A.D., while the correct length of the tropical year, which alone can be used according to the same siddhanta and modern astronomy, for calindrical use, is 365.242196 days. The difference of .01656 days is partly due to errors of observation and failure to recognize the precession of the equinoxes. This modicum of difference has now grossed up to about 23.2 days, with the result the Indian solar year instead of starting on the day following the vernal equinox ( vasantha vishu ) on March 22, starts now on April 13 or 14.

The Vedas have mentioned 28 nakshatras including Abhijit. Each group of stars has a different longitudinal span. Today we take 13° 20’ span as an average per star and calculate 2.25 stars for 30 degrees or a “Rashi” (which is again a non-Vedic adopted term). But when some stars are more than double the average span and some much less than half the average, how can you be sure that you are born under the particular star on the basis of the present way of calculation?

Have you heard of Madhu, Mdhava, Sukra, Suchi, Nabhas, Nabhasya, Isa, Urja, Sahas, Sahasya, Tapas and Tapasya? Yes, these are the names of the months as prescribed in the Vedas (Yajur Veda Taittriya samhita 4.4.11) But instead, we use the Greek origin translated terms such as Mesha, Rishaba etc. Should not the Vedic practitioners like Purohits be saying at least the samkalpas with the names that are given in the Vedas?

Saka samvatsara erea, accepted by the Government of India, is 1931 for English year 2009. On March 16, 2010 Prabhavati year “Krodhi” begins (Saka1932/Vikram Samvat 2067). But due to the difference in the initial fixation (Saka 1876 –1954-55 AD -- was named 41 Plavanga in northern India and 28 Jaya in the south) there is a difference of one year in the north and 13 years in the south. Actually the sixty- year cycle is based on the transit of Jupiter. Jupiter should transit the Aquarius (kumbha ) sign and simultaneously when the sun transits Mesha (Vishu sampat ), the Kumbha mela is held in Haridwar, a very auspicious event for the Hindus. This should have been on March 21, 2009. But alas it is going to be celebrated in March 2010 when Jupiter is actually in Pisces (Meena )! This is how all our rituals and festivals are now-a-days celebrated in Bharatha varsha.

To end all these anomalies and errors and for re-establishing sanathana dharma on the correct path and unifying the Hindu community of both the north and south, a new panchanga by the name “Sri Mohan Krity Aarsh Tithi Patrak” has taken shape. Here the months are Vedic in names, dates are called gatey( in the sense of the Sanskrit word Gatih), nakshatras are as per their actual span, timings are given in hours and minutes, (not nazhiga and vinazhiga), thithis are mentioned correctly as per their duration. Corresponding English dates are also provided. Festivals dates are mentioned correctly as per shastric formulations.

It is to be noted that over thirty Hindu temples in Thiruvarur are following the festivals as per this Tithi Patrak.

Sri Ram Navami on 24.03.2010,Akshya Tritiya 17.04.2010, Karkaark/Dakshinayan beginning on 21.06.2010, Janmaashtami 02.08.2010, Ganesh Chaturthi 13.08.2010, Autumn equinox or Tulaark 23.09.2010, Deepawali 07.10.2010, Makaraark/ Uttarayn beginning or Pongal 22.12.2010, Maha Sivarathri 01.02.2011 & Holi 19.02.2011.

it is certainly good but it requires large scale efforts both at NGO and govt level to make people aware of RTI.govt official must also be responssible to do provide correct and quick information asked by people.

RTI is good act if anything done in village its good
that villagers are asking the record. there should be no punishment for such people i am happy the people are so aware about these things.

MISUSE OF RTI ACT ON LARGE SCALE
i m residence of masroor mandir village of distt. kangra teh.dehra block NAGROTA SURIAN himachal pradesh.some people are misusing the act RTI.Village Panchayat doing Progress work but some peoples are misusing of act rti.And they ar asking everything or every work done by PANcHAYAT for enqurie.
This is there right that they having information for seeking this village panchayat made a vigilance comittee and include complainter as vigilance comittee member.Complainter looks whole work which are going in village and they sign after completion of work only then village panchayat forward this to BDO.for payment.But after some time they approaches Bdo office and asks for enquires of whole works.There should be any rule for these persons if anything wrong not found there then they should given punishment.Because this is wastage of time for panchayat to face enquiries and they can not able to give there 100%concentration towards village progress.whole block department also disturbed by such peoples.
there should be law for such peoples if anything wrong will not found then they have to pay whatever expense will be for appointing people for remeasuring of works.like juniour engineers ,panchayat secretories and panchayat peoples will also along this .
there shold be some provision by that misuse of this act can be stopped.
By doing these things some bad peoples are able to stop full concentration on panchayat and block officers towards development.
Some action should must be taken against such peoples.
