Sophia Bush Biography

Sophia Bush is an only child who was born on July 8, 1982 in Pasadena, California, U.S. This American actress is married to Chad Michael Murray. It is no wonder that she has found her way into the entertainment industry as this business seems to run throughout her family's genes. Her father, Charles William Bush works as an advertiser for and photographer of celebrities.

In 2000 Bush was the Queen of the Tournament of Roses Parade. Afterwards, Bush attended the University of Southern California for a period of three years where she served as the Social Chair for the sorority that she was a member of: Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Bush's first big screen appearance was in the comedy Van Wilder where she played the role of Sally. Since then she has gone on to appear on several different television shows including Nip/Tuck, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Punk'd. She was then cast in the role of Kate Brewster in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Unfortunately she was replaced in this role though as the director thought that she was too young. However, the role that she is perhaps best known for is on the CW series, One Tree Hill, which began in 2003. Here she plays the role of Brooke Davis. Of course, she is also known for portraying the role of Grace Andrews when the horror The Hitcher was redone. While still working on this television show, Bush was also cast in several movies, including Supercross, Stay Alive, John Tucker Must Die (she won three teen choice awards for her work in this movie) and a remake of The Hitcher (she received a "Rising Star" award at Vail Film Festival for her work in this movie). Now in 2008, Bush has began working on recording an album for Jive Records. This will be her first musical attempt ever.
