Miley Cyrus Biography
Many of us have heard of Billy Ray Cyrus, who in 1992 recorded the smash hit "Achy Breaky Heart", but back then who would have guessed he would be eclipsed in stardom by his daugther, Miley Cyrus, who is better known as the mega-star of the current Disney Channel TV show Hannah Montana.
Miley was born as Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23 in 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee. Her name proved prophetic as Miley - she got the nickname because she smiled ("Smiley") so much - has risen into an teen sensation, selling out shows in just minutes.
Miley began acting at age 9, and has since starred in several features including Tim Burton's "Big Fish" film. Miley hit the big time soon after when she was cast as Miley Stewart in the lead role of Hannah Montana, a part-time student who was pop star away from school. Miley and Disney capatilized on the success of the show by releasing an album and movie which grew her popularity.
