Mandy Moore Biography

On April 10, 1984 Mandy Moore was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, U.S. She is an American folk-pop, dance-pop, pop rock, bubblegum pop singer-songwriter with Epic, Sire, The Firm and EMI.  She has also worked as an actress, model and fashion designer. This should come as no wonder since her mother, Stacy Moore, worked as a news reporter.

Moore's interest in becoming a singer grew after she saw the musical Oklahoma!. Her maternal grandmother went on to further inspire her to become a singer. She had her first public exposure as a singer while singing the national anthem at a variety of different sporting events in Florida. This is when she came to be noticed by the head of A&R at Epic Records. From there she came to fame as a teenager in the early 2000s. At this time she released her teen-oriented pop rock record albums. These included So Real, I Wanna Be with You and Mandy Moore. From there she went on to branch out into a film career. This began in 2002 when she starred in the movie A Walk to Remember. Later on Moore went on to appear in the lead roles of numerous movies that were aimed at the teenage audience. It was not until a later point in time that Moore was able to break away from the teenage audience and portray darker characters in the satirical movies American Dreamz and Saved!. In 2007 she released her fifth movie, entitled Wild Hope.

To date Moore's private life has included a variety of relationships. One was with the tennis player, Andy Roddick. However, she has also had relationships with the actors Wilmer Valderrama and Zach Braff. All of these relationships have received a lot of attention from the media.
