Eva Green was born on July 5, 1980 in Paris, France. She is the daughter of French actress, Marlene Jobert. It is also interesting to note that French-Swedish actress Marika Green is her aunt. With this in mind, it is no wonder that Eva Green has always aspired to be an actress herself ever since she was a child. In fact, her aspirations to be an actress really began when she was 14-years-old. It was at this time that Eva Green saw Isabelle Adjani in The Story of Adle H. that she truly realized that she had always wanted to go into the acting business. While Marlene Jobert initially feared the effects that an acting career would have on her daughter, whom she felt was very sensitive, she soon began supporting Eva Green's ambitions.

While Eva Green is naturally a blond, she dyed her hair black when she was a teenager and has gone with this look ever since. This was actually a very good thing for her career though. In fact, Vogue magazine has noted that she has become well known for her “killer looks, intelligence and modesty.” Many people will state that this is true even though she has done numerous naked movie scenes. Eva Green is best described by The Independent magazine as “Gothic, quirky and sexy.” With this in mind, it is no wonder as to why Eva Green has been able to appear as a model for numerous different brands, making modeling her second career.

Regardless of how you classify her looks, there is no doubt that Eva Green has had a great career so far. She began by performing in theater before she actually made her film debut in The Dreamers in 2003. However, she is better known for the parts that she played in Kingdom of Heaven in 2005. One year after this movie, in 2006, Eva Green appeared in the James Bond film Casino Royale. She won a BAFTA for her role here.
