HTZ Rezound Hitting Stores Next Week

Holiday lineup with the smartphones looks complete, or not? Maybe, the selling season for Verizon is finally full with the latest entrant from the HTC. Rezound which has been lurking around as HTC Vigor and underwent name changes (Incredible HD, Thunderbolt 2) has finally been announced as HTC Rezound.

Come November 14, 2011 the new 4G smartphone with the Android Gingerbread, the Rezound will be available for Verizon wireless customers for $299.

The smartphone goes into agreement with the Verizon’s 4G LTE network also features slow motion AV system that was made in collaboration with Dr. Dre and producer Jimmy Iovine. The tricks that are up the sleeve of the HTC Rezound are expected to woo many a geeks.

This is the first smartphone Stateside that comes with the Beats Audio which is integrated into the hardware of the phone. Thanks to the understanding that had come between Beats and the HTC it’s a possibility now for the enthusiasts to not disappoint ears. The smartphone promises to deliver an incredible experience of entertainment without having to compromise on audio as well as the multimedia capabilities. You will just love the 4.3 inches true HD 720 x 1280 pixel resolution screen display.

Upon official release the HTC Rezound will be running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), but the good news is that the company says they are gearing up for Ice Cream Sandwich. So we can expect an update soon (early 2012) for the Rezound to be Ice Cream Sandwiched.

The HTC Rezound also features a dual-core processor, and a camera. But the marketing material of the Rezound focuses on bells & whistles which include the smartphone’s ability to not only record but also play back the video in the slow motion. Then the marketing angle focuses on the Beats Audio is worth mentioning. Rezound takes the credit of being first smartphone in US to have the Beats Audio feature.

The handset comes with branded (Beats) headphones. The headphones are actually big asset to the phone to make the smartphone stand out as a smartass music phone. Scroll through the specs sheet and the HTC Rezound won’t awe you other than these basically and has pretty much all those features you see in other smartphones and it would be interesting to see how it can penetrate through the crowded competition. The makers have out the HTC Rezound under the category of premium smartphones and time will only how this 4G LTE capable phone will be received.
