Among the many sites I like to check on a daily is basis is woot.com, a discount seller of sorts of all things tech and even wine, too.
Each day Woot.com puts up a new product for sale starting around midnight. As long as the product is in stock it’s available at that price to any site visitor for only that day. The products are usually not top shelf, but if you are on a tight budget it could work out to be a good deal. Except today (Friday). Today’s product just so happened to be the Sony PlayStation 3. Wow!
Forget the HDTVs I wrote about in my last post, the PlayStation 3 is the kingpin of tech Christmas presents this season, and woot.com today was selling the 20gig at a pretty fair price of $504, which included Saturday FedEx shipping. Unfortunately they had only 80 units in stock so needless to say they were “gonzo” well before the sun came up anywhere in the U.S.
Actually they went on sale at midnight and were sold out some five minutes later. Woot-ever. Maybe the Nintendo Wii will be the next woot?…Till then, Happy X-mas shopping to all.

If you like Woot, you have to check out Tanga.com as they have a daily deal and also a very cool puzzle section! I think you’ll like it.
