Eva Longoria Biography
Eva Longoria Parker was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas, U.S. She grew up in a poor family that owned and worked a farm. In fact, in 2006 she took The Oprah Winfrey Show's cameras on location to the family farm. Here she showed them how spartan her family was still living. Eva Longoria admitted to Oprah Winfrey that it was only when she began to actually make it in show business that things truly began to look better for her family financially.
Throughout her childhood Eva Longoria attended the Marvin P. Baker Middle School and the Roy Miller High School. From there she then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at the nearby Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
After Eva Longoria completed her college education, in 1998, she entered a local talent contest. In this contest she won the title of Miss Corpus Christi, U.S.A. In turn, this led her to go out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Not long after she was there, she was spotted and signed by a theatrical agent.
Today Eva Longoria is a Golden Globe Award-nominated American film and television actress. Only after she appeared in several high-profile advertising campaigns and numerous men's magazines did this occur though. She is the most well known for her role on the ABC television series Desperate Housewives where she plays the role of Gabrielle Solis. Currently she is also starring in the film Over Her Dead Body. She is married to NBA star of the San Antonio Spurs Tony Parker.
