Clive Owen was born on October 3, 1964 in Keresley, Coventry, Warwickshire, England. When he was a child Clive Owen was opposed to the thought of attending drama school. Instead, he actually spent a long time searching for work without being able to find any good jobs for himself. After this went on for a while he actually changed his mind and decided to go to acting school. He entered into RADA acting school in 1984 at the age of 20. In 1987 Clive Owen graduated from RADA with a class that included both Ralph Fiennes and Jane Horrocks.
After Clive Owen graduated from acting school he went on to land a position at the Young Vic. Here he played a role in several of William Shakespeare's plays. From there he went on to act in several different movies. For his part in this movies he has won several awards, including the Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2005, the Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture in 2005 and the Best Cast in a Motion Picture in 2001 for the movie “Gosford Park.” Currently he is working as a regular performer in Hollywood, as well as in independent American films.
